Rhonda K. Boone, 52, Fowlerton, went to be with the Lord in her home at 9:55 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016. She was born in Marion, Ohio, to Robert Earl and Roxie (Jenkins) Adkins. She married Charles Boone on November 14, 2003, and he survives.

Rhonda was a 1983 graduate of Mississinewa High School. She was a bus aide for Madison-Grant United School Corporation and had worked as a server for several restaurants in Grant County over the years. She attended Fowlerton UMC.

From the time Rhonda was a little girl, she loved animals which continued throughout her adult life. She would take in any stray that would come along and would feed the squirrels in her yard. Rhonda was also an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, and she loved to roller skate.

She will be missed by her loving husband of 13 years, Charles; parents, Richard and Roxie Kimes, Van Buren; children, Cortney (Douglas) Fritch, Marion, Dustin (Heidi) Hill, Marion, and Amanda (Corey) Hill, Gas City; grandchildren, Conner, Dylan, Caden, Devin, Kaylee, Camrie, and one on the way, Brantley; sisters, Robin (Vernon Quinn) Eastes, Kristi (Bud) Harreld, and Kathi (Rick) Baker; half-brothers and sisters, Shiela, David, Melissa, Robert, and Justin; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; mother-in-law, Charlotte Boone; brother-in-law, Chris Boone; and several fur babies that she cherished.

Several grandparents and her half-brother, T.J., preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jack Scott officiating. Dinner will follow at the Fowlerton UMC parsonage.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the family for funeral expenses.
