Reina Regenta (Said) Tinkle, 98, Marion, passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Colonial Oaks Health Care Center in Marion. She was born in Grant County, Indiana, on June 19, 1919, to the late Venard and Nora (Small) Said. Reina moved to Wabash County in 1957, then returned to Grant County in 1982. She was married to Verlin Tinkle, who preceded her in death on June 16, 2011.
Reina was a homemaker throughout her life and loved her family dearly. She endeavored to serve them in whatever way possible on the family farm.
She will be missed by her loving son, James (Rosie) Tinkle; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Reina was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford, Charles, Sherman, and Ellsworth Said.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Reina’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
