Raymond Reese, 67, of Denver, IN, passed away at 10:30 PM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born on December 11, 1949, the son of Sylvester and Emma Droege Reese. He graduated from North Posey High School in 1967 and in 1971 he receieved his Bachelor of Science Degree from Purdue in Agricultural Education.
Raymond married Trudy Eikenberry on August 21, 1971 and she preceded him in death on January 2, 2017. He spent the majority of his life working in sales and service in the Agriculture Industry. When they moved to Peru he worked and retired from the Home Depot where he worked in the lumber department.
Surviving are his sons Nelson Reese, his wife Karen and their son Dallas Reese of Peru: Clinton Reese of Indianapolis; a brother David Reese, Mt. Vernon, IN and his father-in-law Dallas Eikenberry of Peru. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Trudy and one brother Paul Reese.
A service celebrating the life of Raymond Reese will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru with Pastor Lou McKinney officiating. Burial will be at the Chili Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 5:00-8:00 PM, Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the Scratching Post Cat Rescue.
