Raquel E. “Rocky” Veler, 47, Marion, died at 8:57 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 in her home. She was born in Marion on October 13, 1970, to the late Raymond Veler and Julie (Plummer) Prosise. Rocky was a graduate of Marion High School and attended college to become a veterinarian technician.
Rocky was a veterinary assistant and helped run the Marion Animal Care and Control for several years. She loved reading and had an extensive book collection. Rocky also enjoyed arts and crafts.
Rocky is survived by her mother, Julie Prosise, Marion; children, Coty Lee Barnhart, Converse, and Thomas Draven Tedder, Summitville; sister, Rotunda (Tim) Rhodes, California; and ex-husband, Cory Joe Barnhart.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St, Marion, IN. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at at later date.
