Randy K. Hyde, 67, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at his home.
Randy was born in Newport, Rhode Island on July 16, 1949 to Floyd C. and Mary G. (Gerard) Hyde. He graduated from Peru High School and married Sandra J. (Rock) Hyde on April 21, 1967. A proud member of the United States Marine Corp, Randy served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He was employed with Delco Electronics, retiring after more than thirty years of service. Randy was a loving father and grandfather who found his greatest joy in the company of his family.
He is survived by his four children: Todd Hyde and his wife Katrina (Woodhouse) of Peru, IN, Jason Hyde of Chicago, IL, Trevor Hyde and his wife Tabitha (Hansford) of Peru, IN, and Amanda (Hyde) Ray and her husband Dereck Ray of Peru, IN; seven grandchildren: Braxton Hyde, Summer Hyde, Trey Hyde, Presley Hyde, Ethan Hyde, Mackey Hyde, and Jackson Ray; and two brothers: Jeff and Mark Hyde.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his brother, David Hyde; and his sister, Pat Velez.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home in Peru. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Guy Woodhouse officiating. Burial will be held in the Marion National Cemetery and military rites provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
