PERU, Ind. – The Peru Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time Police Officer position. Eligible candidates must be in good physical condition, have a high school diploma or GED, and be at least 21 years of age but less than 36 years of age at the time of hire date. Interested parties may pick up an application at the front desk of the Peru Police Department, located at 35 S. Broadway, now through Wednesday, April 18th, 2018, Monday–Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm. Applications are also available online at www.cityofperu.org. The deadline for applications to be turned in is April 18th, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. Applications will NOT be mailed to you nor accepted after the deadline. They will be conducting both the physical and written portion of the hiring process at the Peru Fire Department located at 85 W. Canal Street. Please wear athletic attire to the testing on this day.
