Phillip “Phil” G. Cline, 60, Wabash, died at 2:49 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indianapolis. He was born in Marion, IN, to the late Albert and Barbara (Thomas) Cline. He married Chaquita Holley on January 23, 2016, and she survives.

Phillip was a 1974 graduate of Mississinewa High School and a United States Marine Corps veteran. During his time in the Marines, Phillip achieved the rank of Corporal and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was a maintenance worker at Five Points Mall for many years, and he had previously worked as a truck driver.

Phillip enjoyed playing pool, bowling, computer games, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed taking rides on his Harley. Phillip loved reading pictures and looking for mistakes in motion pictures, gaining himself the nickname “PicRead.” He especially loved his wife and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Christina Schultz, Marion, Josette Rockwell, Virginia Beach, VA, and Amanda (Brad) Collins, Kokomo; step-daughters, Courtney Hiner, Peru, and Amanda (B.J.) Prewell, Marion, IL; 16 grandchildren; special friends that he spent time with, Rick (Beth) Wolfe, Jim (Robin) Daniels, Charles (Heidi) Marley, Smitty’s Bar friends, his friend, Brenda, at Kay’s Pizza, and several more friends.

In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Cline.

Friends and family may call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Marion National Cemetery.
