Philip E. Jones (Jonesy), 81, died, peacefully, on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Philip was born on September 15, 1935 in Peru, IN. He was the son of Orval and Vivian (Anderson) Jones, both deceased.
Philip graduated from Peru High School. He retired from Hook’s/CVS in Peru after 33 years. Philip is a past member of the Loyal Order of the Moose
Philip, enjoyed riding his moped, smoking cigars, sports and conversation. He loved to tell jokes and laugh. His laughter was contagious.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert (Linda), Ft Wayne, IN; Thomas, Ft Wayne, IN; James, Peru; sister Susan (Ronnie) Peru and several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow, immediately, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor George Dinkel officiating. Burial will be at Everrest Memorial Cemetery, Cass County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
