Penny Jean Hershberger, 69, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017, at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN.
Penny was born on January 19, 1948, in Muncie, IN, to the late Elmer and Zella (Adams) Holland. Penny married Edward Hershberger on November 25, 1967. He survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Penny was a graduate of Muncie Central High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her time at Blue Lake Campground. Penny was a member of Psi Iota Xi and helped for many years organizing the Pioneer Festival in Huntington.
Along with her husband, Edward, Penny is survived by three daughters, Annette (Thomas) Witta, Huntington, IN; Janet (Jeff) Osborn, Ossian, IN; Barbara (Kelly) Burrington, Huntington, IN; 11 grandchildren: Caleb (Sara) Witta, Jacob Witta, Sarah Witta, Hannah Witta, Elizabeth Osborn, Logan Osborn, Dylan Osborn, Brandy Collinsworth, Wesley Hershberger, Zachary Burrington and Emily Burrington; and 5 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart F uneral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.

A private burial will be at a later date.
