Pearl West, 85, formerly of North Manchester, Indiana, died at 4:40 pm, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born December 7, 1931 in Johnson County, Kentucky to Robert and Vinie (Clark) Griffith.
She first married John Hare in North Manchester on October 7, 1950; he died December 15, 1971. She then married Robert West and he also preceded her in death. She was a seamstress 25 years for Cline’s Products in Huntington. She enjoyed going on family fishing trips, going to and having garage sales, gardening, especially house plants, and sewing.
She is survived by four children, Melinda McFarland and John (Nona) Hare, both of Warsaw, Indiana, Tina Cline of Huntington, and James Hare of North Manchester; four grandchildren, Josh (Misty) Cline of Huntington, John (Jamie) Cline of South Bend, Indiana, Jennifer (Dwayne) Brumley of Niles, Michigan, and Jamie Hare of Liberty Mills, Indiana, four great grandchildren; two sisters, Regina Monroe and Dorothy Morris, both of Wabash, and her brother, James (Donna) Griffith of Mesa, Arizona. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Charlie Griffith and Bob Griffith, and her sister Betty Jo Griffith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Congregational Christian Church, 310 North Walnut Street, North Manchester, with Pastor Sebrena Cline officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. Friends may call 9:30-11:00 am Saturday, at the church. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main Street, North Manchester.
