Pauline Brady Smith

Pauline Brady Smith, 91, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 12:37 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama, on July 5, 1926, to the late Lee and Essie (Thomas) Bowie. She married Clyde I. Smith on April 4, 1970, and they shared nearly 37 years together before he preceded her in death on March 30, 2007.

Pauline was an Inspection Clerk at RCA and retired after 25 years of service. She was a good and faithful servant of the Lord who actively served in numerous capacities at Greater Second Baptist Church for over 65 years.

Survivors include her children, Robert (Teona) Brady, California, Sherry Marrow, New York, and Linda “Kaye” Johnson, Marion; special niece, Maryna (Troy) Nukes, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; numerous step-children and step-grandchildren; caregiver, Joyce Evans; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many friends and her church family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Anthony and Kenneth Brady; brothers, Nathaniel and William Bowie; grandson, Carmen Marrow; and great-grandson, Ky’Ree Smith.

Visitation for Pauline will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with her funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Greater Second Baptist Church, 705 W. 26th St., Marion, IN. Pastor Robert Jones will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
