Paula J. Stinger, 70, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Paula was born on February 25, 1947 to the late Charles and Roxie (Lankford) Hawkins in Muncie, Indiana. She married Larry Stinger on May 6, 1979. He survives. Paula graduated from Central High School in 1965. She worked for Ball Stores in Muncie from 1975-1978. She then worked for Marion General Hospital for 27 years. Paula loved being a member of Faith Apostolic Church. She was a quiet woman who loved to travel, shop, and cook. Her family especially loved her chicken and noodles. She loved cats and always took care of the stray cats in her neighborhood.
Paula is survived by her husband, Larry; 2 sisters, Judy Hawkins and Nancy (Edwin) Morgan; 5 brothers, Phillip (Connie) Hawkins, Steve (Cindy) Hawkins, Russell Hawkins, Jeff (Lori) Hawkins, Richard (Linda) Hawkins; brother-in-law, Terry (Jennifer) Stinger; 2 sisters-in-law, Kathy (Joseph) Amato and Patty Stinger; her two cats, Fred and Georgie, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Roxie Hawkins, 4 brothers, Charles Jr., Thomas, Fredrick, and Robert Hawkins, and brother-in-law, Gary Stinger.
Arrangements for Paula have been entrusted to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services Fairmount Chapel, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana 46928. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 2, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 pm. A funeral service celebrating Paula will be on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 1:30 pm with Pastor Clarence Hand officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Park Cemetery.
