Paul “Roger” Davis know as Roger to most friends and family was put to rest September 15, 2016 at 3:58 AM. He was born November 26, 1945 to Juanita Smith Davis and Frank Willis Davis in Van Lear, Kentucky. He was a border line mentally handicapped son born to a disabled World War II Veteran which enabled him to receive many benefits thru out his life. Bless our Veterans. Both parents preceded him in death. His many hobbies included raising rabbits and fish guppies, when he was younger and as he grew older he got into weight lifting and wrestling which stayed with him thru out his life. He also loved horses was an avid Elvis Presley Fan. He mowed lawns in the summer and plowed snow in the winter to earn extra income. He dearly loved his lawn tractors and tinkering with them Being a mentally challenged person made life difficult for him but his mother made him as independent as possible enabling him to live on his own with the help of family and others. He leaves behind one son Samual Hardy Davis, two brothers Frank Willis Davis JR. and Donald Ray Davis one sister Linda Davis Utter one nephew, Donald Andrew Davis two nieces Melissa Davis and Michelle Davis Imbeirowicz and husband Matt three great nieces Clara Olivia and Haley, two great nephews Nick and Ben considering his circumstances he live a fairly good life He will be missed A service celebrating the life of Paul “Roger” Davis will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN with Pastor J. Robert Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Family and friends will gather Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
