Patricia M. Brickley, 82 of Markle passed away at 5:00 am on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Markle Health & Rehabilitation Center. Patricia was a 1952 graduate of Petroleum High School in Petroleum, Indiana. She worked for many years in food service at the Wells Community Hospital in Bluffton, retiring in the 1970’s. She was a member of the Markle United Methodist Church as well as the American Legion Post 111 Auxiliary of Bluffton. She taught Sunday school for many years. Pat never knew a stranger; she loved to talk with everyone.
Patricia was born on August 26, 1933 in Petroleum, Indiana, the daughter of Raymond and Julia (Lyle) Wall.
She was united in marriage to Robert D. Brickley on June 6, 1954 in Bluffton. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2012.
Survivors include two sons: Karl Brickley of Bluffton; Kevin (Judy) Brickley of Roanoke; two daughters: Lisa (Stan) Trainer of Markle; Theresa Egolf of Yuma, AZ; a sister: Sydonna Nunley of Craigville, IN; four grandchildren: Heath A. Pinkerton, Lori A. Rice, Mariah R. Howard and Ashlee R. Trainer and seven great grandchildren: Gavin Bickel, Sutton A. Rice, Craig A. Pinkerton, Ashton T. Pinkerton, Maryssa Pinkerton, Troy L. Howard and Aiden Bopp.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Lori Brickley, Tina Brickley, a son: Greg Brickley, two grandsons: Jayson Trainer and Craig Brian Pinkerton.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel with Rev. Steven McPeek officiating.
Interment will be at the Horeb Cemetery in Uniondale.
