Patricia Kay Browder, 72, died suddenly in her Gas City home at 6:32 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2016. She was born in Marion to the late Howard C. and Audra (Hill) Miller. She married Joe Browder on October 9, 1993, and he survives.

A lifelong resident of Marion/Grant County, Patricia received her Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and worked as a Care Intake Manager at Life Streams. She had just retired two months ago after 17 years of service. Patricia had previously worked at Carey Services for 10 years. She was a member of Marion Church of the Brethren and recently attended Eastview Wesleyan Church.

Patricia loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed genealogy, watching TV, attending shows at Beef and Boards, and following NASCAR’s Tony Stewart.

In addition to Joe, her husband of 23 years, she will be missed by her children, Kimberly (Rocky) Shanks, Marion, Jacqueline Zirkle, Palm Bay, Florida, and Max (Connie) Zirkle, Gas City; step-children, Linda (Tom) Lunn, Astor, Florida, Robert (Karen) Browder, Marion, Barbara (Mike) Burbank, Gas City, and Michelle (companion, Mike) Browder, North Manchester; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Conrad Miller, Ronald Miller, Larry Phillip Miller, and Ruth Line.

Preceding her in death were her parents; first husband, Max Zirkle; sister, Marilyn Garner; and brother, Mike Miller.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Services are at 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, November 3, 2016, with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
