Patricia A. (Groff) Heideman, 72 of Huntington passed away at 9:45 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at her residence. Patricia was a 1963 graduate of LaPorte High School and LPN Nursing School at Ivy Tech. She worked at Huntington Hospital where she enjoyed her passion for nursing for 35 years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her grandson was her pride and joy.
Patricia was born on February 19, 1944 in Huntington, the daughter of King W. and Georgean (Hinkle) Groff.
Survivors include a son: Bradley Heideman of Huntington; a daughter: Julie Heideman of Huntington; a brother: Richard (Susan) Groff of Cullman, AL; a sister: Linda (Richard) Rigler of Stevensville, MI; a grandson: Matthew Goines of Huntington and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 12:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Rev. Todd Wilson officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
