Pamela Elizabeth Drook, 74, of rural Converse, Indiana, died at 4:04 pm, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born June 25, 1942 in Wabash, Indiana to Roy V. and Jeanne E. (Murphy) Trisler.
Pam was a 1960 graduate of Wabash High School. She married her childhood sweetheart, Tom Drook, at the St. Matthews United Church of Christ in Wabash, on March 9, 1960. She retired as the Director of Human Resources at Star Financial Bank, in Marion. Pam was a former member of the St. Matthews United Church of Christ. She served on the Chapman Lake Conservation Association Board of Directors, the Marion Family Services Board of Directors, and was also a volunteer at C.A.S.A. and the Hostess House in Marion. She was an avid stained glass artist, a seamstress, and interior decorator. Pam enjoyed gardening and creating crafts with the family.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Drook of Converse; three children, Tammy (Hugh) Drummond of Carmel, Jerry (Leisa) Drook of Marion, and Tobin (Shelley Sheneman) Drook of Peru; seven grandchildren, Haley (Michael) Kuehl of Indianapolis, Matthew (Courtney) Drummond of Westfield, Scott (Taylor) Drummond of Noblesville, Brayden (Christine) Hudson of Fort Worth, Texas, Kendall (Jace) Martin of Joplin, Missouri, Cara Drook of Fort Wayne, and Finley Drook of Peru; six great-grandchildren, Ryne, Calvin, and Theo Drummond of Westfield, Henry Drummond of Noblesville, and Everett & Emery Hudson of Fort Worth; and her brother, Tom (Kathryn) Trisler of Andrews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10 am Monday, October 10, 2016 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Lori Bievenour officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Urbana. Friends may call 2-6 pm Sunday, at the funeral home.
