Omar A. Call, 86, Marion, died at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016. He was born in Fleming County, KY, to the late Jewel and Elford Mae (Crump) Call. He married Elaine J. Scheidt, and she survives.
Omar was a United States Army veteran serving in the Signal Corp in Germany during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors and previously worked for RCA. Omar attended College Wesleyan Church, delivered Meals on Wheels, and enjoyed gardening and watching ball games.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Call, Marion; son, Randy (Jenny) Call, Milford, OH; granddaughter, Chloe Call; and sister, Phyllis Ann (Leroy) Dimitri, Winchester, TN.
In addition to his parents, Omar was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynette M. Call; and sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca (Gayle) Vice.
Friends and family may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Marion.
