Norma J. Haecker, 81, North Manchester, IN died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2016 in Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, IN. She was born May 3, 1935 in North Manchester, IN to Harry & Bernice (Westafer) Frey. On February 7, 1954 she married Charles R. Haecker. He died January 2, 1986. She worked in the deli at Lance’s New Market, North Manchester, IN for 26 years and was a member of North Manchester First Brethren Church, North Manchester, IN. Norma loved spending time with her grandchildren and traveling. She is survived by son, Craig (Rita) Haecker, North Manchester, IN; daughter, Jo (Bill) Hays, North Manchester, IN; grandchildren, David (Crystal) Hays, Warsaw, IN, Brian (Amber) Hays, Fort Wayne, IN, Addie Haecker, North Manchester, IN and Kolby Haecker, North Manchester, IN; great grandchildren, Monica Harmon, Warsaw, IN, Sophie Hays, Warsaw, IN and Mabel Hays, Warsaw, IN. One son, Terry Haecker, one daughter, Sherry Haecker, one grandchild, Zoe Haecker and two sister, Esther Straka and an infant sister, Margaret Frey, are deceased. Family and friends may call Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN and one hour prior to service at the church. Services Friday, October 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at First Brethren Church, 407 N. Sycamore Street, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Kurt Stout will officiate.
