Nondus Marcelle Walls, 85, of Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, Indiana, died at 5:57 am, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born July 9, 1931 in Brimfield, Indiana to Roy and Ruth (Terrell) Dunn.
Nondus was a 1974 graduate of Southwood High School, and she received her BS and Masters Degree from Purdue University. She was a case worker and counselor for Pines Behavorial Health Services. She was a member of the Dora Christian Church. Nondus enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, oil painting, gardening, traveling, and the outdoors. She lived the past 28 years in Coldwater, Michigan, coming from Wabash County, where she was a longtime resident .
She is survived by eight children, Marilyn Lester of North Manchester, Larry (Mary) Ross of Lagro, Indiana, Deborah Sills of Coldwater, Michigan, Patty Walls of Urbana, Illinois, Stanley Walls of LaFontaine, Indiana, Barb (Dave) Yeager of Peru, Indiana, Ronnie Walls of Lagro, and Vicki (Kevin) Clark of Mount Vernon, Ohio; nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Katy (Jim) Cobbs of Angola, Indiana, and Shirley (Jon) Mattern of Marion, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two granddaughters.
Funeral services will be 2pm Friday, July 29, 2016 at Dora Christian Church, 2325 S. Salamonie Road, Lagro, with Rev. Mark Wisniewski officiating. Burial will be in Lagro Cemetery. Friends may call 12:30-2pm Friday at the church. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash.
