Nancy L. Knuckles, age78, of Roanoke went January 22, 2016 at 5:21 pm to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her beloved husband Jim and 10 year old son Roger who have gone on before. Nancy worked as a waitress, then at Hooks (later CVS) Drugstore, and retired from Wabash Magnetics. She was a member of Roanoke Brethren Church and attended Aboite Baptist Church. After she retired she volunteered at Millers Merry Manor. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, going to concerts, and playing cards and games with friends.

Nancy was born October 20, 1937, in Roanoke, the daughter of Charles J. and Mayme (Highlands) Henline. On May 30, 1954 she married her beloved husband of 42 years James “Jim” Knuckles in Logansport and he passed away March 1, 1997. She is survived by a daughter Ronda (Larry) Wiland of Huntington, a son Barry (Sally) Knuckles of Roanoke, 5 grandchildren Travis (Kelli) Knuckles of Danville, Nathan Knuckles of Roanoke, Kari (Justin) Hyndman of Roanoke, Melia Turner of Fort Wayne, and Brianna Culp of Findley, OH, 4 great-grandchildren Maklyn Knuckles, Jordon Euliss, Tyler Adams and Kiara Moyer, and a sister Natah Byrum of Muncie. In addition to her husband and 10 year old son Roger Blake Knuckles she was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Bevens, a half-brother Ralph Henline and a half-sister Ann Habagger.

Visitation will be held Monday January 25 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes and 10-11 am Tuesday January 26 prior to the 11:00 am funeral service at the funeral home with Pastors Ron Burns and Brad McGuire officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.
