In loving memory… Monte Jay Binkerd, 73, Peru, went to be with the Lord at 3:40 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2016 peacefully in his sleep at Miller’s Merry Manor. He was born September 29, 1942 to Oral Jay and Phyllis Edna Binkerd. He was preceded in death by both parents.

He has one daughter: Michelle (Dave) Maxwell, Peru; two sons: Gary (Beth) Binkerd and Tony Binkerd both of Denver; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers: Alan Jay (Diane) Binkerd, North Manchester, Neil Jay Binkerd, Milwaukee, WI, Bruce Jay (Debra Z) Binkerd, Peru.

Monte served 6 years in the United States Army National Guard, served as bowling coach for young bowling league for 40 years and won State recognition for his accomplishments, he was co-owner of Milliner Printing Co. of Wabash until he retired.  He was also a member of Peru Class of 1960 reunion committee, and was into amateur CB radios and was known as “Circus City Cameraman.”

Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 26th from 4 pm – 7 pm located at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home which is located at 105 W. 3rd St. Peru, IN 46970.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 at 10:00 am, at the funeral home with Pastor Floyd Laabs and Pastor George Dinkel officiating.  Burial will be at the Ever Rest Memorial Park cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association thru Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
