Mildred J. (Morley) Kreh

mildred kreh

Mildred J. Kreh (87) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 14, 2016 in Peru, Indiana.

She was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan on October 9, 1928 to Joe and Elsie Morley. She graduated from Elkton High School in Elkton, Michigan. At her death she was surrounded by her family where she peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord where she is once again reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Rev. Gerald Kreh, who preceded her in death.

Mildred’s life was dedicated to supporting her husband in his ministry and raising a loving family. She loved to cook and provide assistance to the church and the Peru community. When someone was in need she was always there to help. She did the same for her family where her first priority was to provide love, support, and share the Lord’s love for each of them. Not only was she loving and kind to everyone, she was dependable and always had a smile to ease the pain. She will be missed for her strong faith, gentle spirit and loving smile. While she is in Heaven, her wish for us would be to follow her example and love of the Lord, help others with a smile, share a kind word and provide a helping hand.

When not supporting her husband in the First Missionary Church, Mildred worked at U S Gypsum in Wabash for many years before her retirement. She was also active in the Rolling Chapel ministry of Peru, Indiana. She worshiped at Zion Chapel in Peru.

Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by four children, Linda (Terry) Leedy, Peru, IN; Marcia (Allen) Glassburn, Fort Wayne, IN; Debra (Terry) Parsons, Peru, IN; Gloria (Ben) Chandler, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.; and her older brother, Bernard Morley, Bad Axe, MI. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Tara Slagel, Lynette Leedy, Eric Dillman, Brandon Dillman, Alicia Biliouris, Megan Condra, Amanda Cornwel , Abbe Chandler and 14 great-grandchildren along with many loving extended family members.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 18, 201.6, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Zion Chapel in Peru with funeral services immediately following the viewing at 3 p.m. Her loving pastors Rod Correll, George Dinkel, and Lew McKinney will officiate.
