Mildred C. Binder, 89 of Huntington passed away at 8:52 am on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at her residence. Mildred had worked at Square D Corporation for 15 years, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed playing solitaire and doing word search puzzles.
Mildred was born on December 22, 1927 in Huntington, the daughter of Arthur and Clara (McNally) Elsasser.
She was united in marriage to Robert L. Binder on August 6, 1949 in Columbia City. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1969.
Survivors include a daughter: Cindy (Joe) Homier of Huntington; a sister: Katherine Delauter of Huntington and one grandson: Brian (Jillian) Homier of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Clara Elsasser, three sisters: Anna Mae Lynn, Maxine Ungerer, Betty Bumgardner and a brother: Arthur Elsasser, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Raymond Scribner officiating.
Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Servia.
