Michele L. Lopshire, 46, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 3:37 p.m. at her home. She was born on June 11, 1969, in Columbia City, IN, to George Roush and Susan Brower Converse. Her parents survive.

Michele graduated from Penn High School in 1987. She completed her surgical tech degree at Baker College. She also received her nursing degree from Brown Mackie College. Michele married Troy Lopshire on March 24, 2006, in Huntington.

Michele was a member of Mission House Church. She tutored for the Literacy Coalition at the Huntington Public Library. She volunteered at the church and the Food Pantry and helped out wherever she could. She was an avid reader and loved books. She loved antiques and cooking with her granddaughter, Ava. She loved spending time with family and hosting family gatherings.

She is survived by her father, George Roush, Warsaw, IN; her mother, Susan (Jim) Converse, Niles, MI; her husband, Troy Lopshire, Huntington, IN; daughter, Samantha Hoadley, Huntington, IN; and son, Steven Hoadley, Huntington, IN. Michele is also survived by her step-son, Ian Lopshire, Charlotte, NC; and her step-daughter, Allisha Lopshire, Chicago, IL. She is also survived by two sisters, Amber (Bill) Turlik, Kelly, NC; Anitra (Brian) Brinton, Willmington, NC; and two half-brothers, Grant Uhlig, Warsaw, IN; and Blake Robison, Warsaw, IN. Her maternal grandmother, Grace Brower, survives and resides in Columbia City, IN; and one granddaughter, Ava Gracelynn, Huntington, IN.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750, with Pastor Lori Markiewicz presiding.

A private burial will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Domestic Violence Foundation and/or R.S.D. (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) Foundation in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
