Michael R. “Corey” Goff, 70, Gas City, Indiana, died at 2:05 p.m on Friday, August 11, 2017, in the Marion VA Regional Hospital. He was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on January 19, 1947, to the late Robert and Dorothea (Beedy) Goff.
Michael was a US Marine Corp veteran, who served proudly in Vietnam. He was employed with the Union Pacific Railroad for 20 years, did various odd jobs, and also worked in the oilfields in Louisiana for 20 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Kristina Olsen Brown, New Brumfield, Texas; siblings, Monty Corey, Marion, Bill (Abby) Corey, Jr., Gas City and Kevin (Traci) Corey, Marion, Robert Goff, Florida, Eric Goff, Snow Lake, Indiana, and Max Goff, Ft. Wayne.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Judy Corey Heinzelman.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN. A funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Van Buren Cemetery.
