Michael P. Grindle, 58, Marion, passed away in his home at 7:17 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Born in Marion on July 20, 1959, to the late Fred and Louise (Jupp) Grindle, Michael married Stacy Wortman in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on August 12, 1984.

Michael was a 1977 graduate of Mississinewa High School. He had a passion for fabricating and painting cars and, therefore, owned and operated Mike’s Magic Body and Paint Repair. He was involved with The Pulse Autocycle Group and enjoyed being in his garage where he worked on many award-winning projects. Michael enjoyed bowling at Crest Lanes, nature gazing, and watching sports, especially the Steelers and NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Stacy; sons, Daniel Grindle, Marion, and Matthew Grindle, Wilmington, Delaware; siblings, Robert (Lin) Grindle, Connecticut, Paula (Bryan Druck) Harner, Converse, Anita (Jim) Thorn, Marion, Rebecca (John Bennett) Oleysyck, Fairmount, and Steve (Sue) Grindle, Marion; nephews and nieces, Kevin (Amy) Grindle, Connecticut, Jeff and John Williams, Texas, Kathy Williams, Florida, Angie Williams, Alabama, Kelli (Steve) Johnson, Kentucky, Chris (Lori) Shell, Gas City, Gretchen (Johnny) Camblin, North Liberty, Brett (Debbie) Howard, Marion, Sean Grindle, Marion, Tony Oleysyck, Indianapolis, Rachel Oleysyck, French Lick, and Joe (Sianna) Oleysyck, Fairmount; many great-nephews and great-nieces; countless good friends and customers; and his dogs, Oliver and Twiggy.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Williams; a brother, Jeff Grindle; and a nephew, Wiley Gordon.

The family will receive visitors from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. The funeral service will begin shortly after visitation at Estates of Serenity in Marion.
