Michael K. Mitchell, 67 of Sarasota, Florida and formerly of Uniondale passed away at 9:45 pm on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his Florida residence. Michael was a 1968 graduate of Norwell High School. He owned and worked his family farm in Wells County for many years. He enjoyed working on vintage motorcycles and he loved riding them and going to vintage motorcycle shows.
Michael was born on December 18, 1949 in Bluffton, the son of Royal and Helen (Buel) Mitchell.
Survivors include: his mother: Helen Mitchell of Sarasota, FL; two sons: Ted Mitchell of Uniondale; Chad Mitchell; a sister: Melinda Mitchell Montegomery and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father: Royal Mitchell.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.
Interment will be at the Horeb Cemetery at a later date.
