Michael A. Lawrence, 81, Denver, passed away at 11:24 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru.
Born February 7, 1935, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Albert H. and Kathryne Myers Lawrence. On September 7, 1952 in Miami County at the home of the late Rev. Austin Gable, he was married to Lillian Mae Bell Lawrence, and she preceded him in death on March 19, 2011.
Michael retired from farming and as a heavy equipment operator for Rock Industries.
Survivors include three children, Dr. Kenneth E. Lawrence and wife Jean, Logansport; Patricia A. Sanai and husband Behrooz, Carmel; Michelle K. Lawrence, Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Michael Lawrence, Portland, Maine; John Lawrence, Logansport; and Leila and Joshua Sanai, Carmel; one sister, Alicia (Lowell) Snyder, New Haven; and seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert M. Lawrence.
A time of visitation will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. Following visitation, the funeral procession will leave for Chili Community Cemetery, where graveside services will be held.
