Miami County Woman Arrested for Attempted Traffic With Miami County Correctional Facility Inmate

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – Superintendent Kathy Griffin reported a female visitor was arrested at the Miami Correctional Facility on Monday, February 20th, for attempting to traffic with an inmate and multiple drug-related offenses.  The investigation is ongoing at this time. Rashell Taylor, age 27 from Kokomo, arrived at MCF to visit with an offender.  Ms. Tyler was found to be in possession of 239 suboxone strips and approximately 11.1 gram of synthetic marijuana.

Ms. Tyler was arrested by a Correctional Police Officer and transported to the Miami County Jail in Peru.  She is being charged with following:  Trafficking with an inmate (L5);  Dealing in a Schedule II  (a person who (1) knowingly or intentionally (C) delivers a controlled substance, scheduled II (L6);  Dealing in a synthetic drug, (a) a person who (5) possesses with the intent to deliver (L6) and ;  Possession of Synthetic drug ( class A misdemeanor).  Ms. Tyler is being held on an $18,000 bond.  Ms. Tyler is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
