Meredith Roller, 87, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Dukes Hospital.

He was born on December 28, 1928 near Idaville, Indiana. He was the youngest of seven children born to Millard C. and Martha B. (Ireland) Roller. He graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1946. He farmed with his parents until he was drafted to serve in the Korean war in the 1950’s. After he was discharged, he managed the General Finance loan company in Kokomo until his retirement in 1980.

He was active for many years in both the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He enjoyed golfing and eating out in his retirement. He never married, so after his mother passed away, he and a very special friend go to know about many different restaurants in Miami and surrounding counties and beyond.

He moved into assisted living at Blair Ridge in April, 2010. He remained there until his health deteriorated to the point that it was necessary to move to the nursing center on January 23, 2016.

He is survived by one brother, Marlin Roller and his wife, Rosalyn, plus several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings: Norman Roller, Louise Bushman, Eugene Roller, Evan Grostefon, and Eleanor Irwin.

Family and friends may call at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 9:00am to 11:00am. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am, with Pastor Phil Cruea officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, Indiana.
