Maxine (Morrish) Gossett, 95, of Fairmount, Indiana died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Marion General Hospital.
Maxine was born of February 25, 1922 in Fairmount, Indiana at her grandmother’s home, daughter of the late John Morrish and Vida (Mittank) Morrish. She graduated from Fairmount High School in 1940. Maxine and Robert B. Gossett were married on December 25, 1942. Robert preceded her in death on October 31, 2003. Maxine was a homemaker and loved being a Mom and Grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles, and her grandchildren.
Maxine is survived by her children; Gary (Toni) Gossett, Huntington Beach, CA, Connie (Bob Boyd) Gossett, Pueblo, CO and Rebecca “Becky” Gossett, Fairmount, IN. Grandchildren; Robert, Randy, and Ryan Gossett, Leticia Fesel, Kristina Enderle, Sabrina Budson, Bryce Gossett, Jamey Gossett, and Daneil Tompkins and 15 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Maxine was preceded in death by an infant daughter Susan Gossett, brother, Earnest Morrish and sister, Irene Jones.
Arrrangments have been entrusted the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. A graveside service for Maxine will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana, on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 1 PM.
