Max E. Kinsey, 85 of Markle passed away at 5:36 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital. Max was a graduate of Rockcreek High School. Max served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950 – 1953. He had worked at General Motors in Marion for 37 years before his retirement. Max was an avid Fort Wayne Komets fan and held season tickets for over 30 years as well as an avid IU Basketball and Football fan and a lifetime Atlanta Braves fan. Max enjoyed fishing, golfing and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He was a member of Markle United Methodist Church and was a lifetime member of the Markle VFW Post.

Max was born on May 12, 1931 in Uniondale, the son of Carl and Dortha (Elzey) Kinsey.

He was united in marriage to Connie Breedon in 1953. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two sons: Bruce Kinsey of Plainfield; Brad (Sandy) Kinsey of Fort Wayne; three brothers: Paul (Joyce) Kinsey of Florida; Roger (Ellen) Kinsey of Fisher, IN; Neil (Joy) Kinsey of Markle; a sister: Jean Mossburg of Markle; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Max was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Brian Kinsey; a daughter: Diana Lynn Kinsey; a brother: Robert Kinsey and two sister: Molvis Doan and Betty Urshel.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
