Max E. Eytcheson ( SMOKEY) went to be with his beloved wife Janis M. Eytcheson in heaven on September 24th, 2016. He was born on August 20th, 1947 in Peru, IN to Robert and Daisy Eytcheson. He was preceeded in death by his wife Janis Eytcheson, brother Keith White, and son-on-law Christopher Taulbee. He is survived by Judith White, Bob Eytcheson & wife Jill, and Kenny Eytcheson.

Max married Janis M. Eytcheson on February 18th, 1982. They created a family between them with 3 children. Glenda M. Catt married to Walter M. Catt, Tammy L. Hedrick (widowed), Tina M. Harrison married to Richard Harrison. He was a grandfather to 11 grandchildren. Savanna M. Brown married to Bryce Brown, Anastasia M. Chomko, Tricia L. Armentrout married to Lucas Armentrout, Amber L. Sheets married to Travis Sheets, Jeremy Norris, Elizabeth Smith, Jeffrey  Harrison Jr, Aaron Arnold, Daniel Harrison, Danielle Palecki, and Destiny Palecki. He also had 6 great grandchildren.

Max’s world revolved around his family and friends. Max shared his love for Jesus through his bible study, gospel music, and helping his fellow man to the best of his ability. Max also loved to play the guitar and his harmonica – he loved country music (Jim Reeves), passing his love for music to all the family.

Max retired from the local Square D.

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”.

Friends may call from 10:00 am till time of service at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.  Funeral will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ralph Johnson officiating.
