Mary Louise Kearney, 93, Marion, died at 3:37 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016, at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Marion, Indiana, to the late Edward and Matilda (Wieland) Goff. She married the love of her life, George Robert “Bob” Kearney, and he preceded her in death on October 2, 1985.

Mary was a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Marion. She was a 1941 graduate of St. Paul High School and studied for one year at Indiana Business College. Mary worked as a secretary for Marion Hardware, where she met her husband-to-be. She later worked for Indiana Financial for 18 years. Mary was a hard worker and was very quiet and unassuming. She did not like to be in the spotlight. She did enjoy people-watching and working crossword puzzles. She even won $1,000 in a crossword contest through the Chronicle-Tribune. Mary was a former member of Widow to Widow. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Donald (Pat) Kearney, Marion, Linda (Steve) Napier, Marion, and Nancy (Bruce) Bender, Marion; grandchildren, Danielle (Frank) Biddle, Marion, Jason (Alissa) Napier, Fishers, Benjamin (Amanda) Napier, Tell City, Mark (Lisa) Napier, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Derek (Stefanie) Brown, Van Buren, Tyler Brown, Orlando, Florida, Stephanie (fiancé, Jim Yocum) Bender, Indianapolis, and Chris (Angie) Bender, Bluffton; 10 great-grandchildren; and cousin, Rosemarie (Bill) Armfield.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward and Robert Goff.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Rd., Marion, Indiana, with Fr. Richard Weisenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
