Mary Joan Goodpaster Moss, 86, Marion, died at 12:45 a.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor in Marion on Saturday, November 11, 2017. She was born in Marion on April 10, 1931, to the late Dailey and Mary (Wise) Goodpaster and was married to Robert “J.B.” Moss. He preceded her in death in 1971.
Mary was a homemaker who spent her life serving her husband and raising their four children. She enjoyed playing Bingo, and she especially loved her grandchildren and dogs.
She is survived by her daughters, Jenny Moss and Kathy Moss, both from Marion; daughter-in-law, Debbie Moss, Marion; 3 grandchildren, Sondra Moss, Jessica Moss, and Joseph Moss, Jr.; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Penny Moss; sons, Joseph Moss and Robert Dale Moss; and sister, Bonnie Musall.
The family will receive visitors from 12-1 p.m. with Mary’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Grant Memorial Park Chapel, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN. Pastor Jerry Gallaway will be officiating with burial following at Estates of Serenity.
