Marvin H. Wheetley, 86, Peru, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne.
Born December 1, 1929, in Searcy, Arkansas, he was the son of Johnny and Willie Dennis Wheetley. On September 1, 1953, in Santa Fe, Indiana, he was married to Mary Elizabeth Soles, and she preceded him in death on May 12, 1997.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Wheetley, Texas; Kenny Wheetley and wife Debra, Peru; and David Wheetley, Peru; three sisters, Doris Starbuck, Illinois; Clara Fletcher, Texas; and Mary McKinley, Logansport; two brothers, Doyne Wheetley, Arkansas; and Henry Wheetley, California; three grandsons; four granddaughters; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, one granddaughter, brother, Frank Wheetley, and sister, Marie Fletcher.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Chapel Ministries Outreach, Jct. US 31 & County Road 400 N, with Pastor Tom Robbins and Pastor Guy Woodhouse officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.
