Martha J. Rumple, 93, of Warren, IN, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, Warren, IN.
Martha was born on September 9, 1923, in Grant County Indiana, to Thomas and Maggie “Gay” (Campbell) Cooper. Her parents preceded her in death. She married John W. Ervin in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1946. She married Glenn Rumple in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Martha graduated from Lafontaine High School in 1941. She worked at Memcor for 12 years and she was the co-owner of Mt. Etna Trailer Supply from 1974 to 1994. She was a member of the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church and a former member of the OES Floral Chapter #75.
Martha is survived by two sons, Dan (Sue) Rumple, Huntington, IN, and Dale (Marilyn) Rumple, Mt Etna, IN; one son- in-law Rick Brown, Rochester, IN. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Rhonda Landrum, Danny Rumple Jr. and Rochelle Rumple; Nick, Aaron and Grace Brown; Jacob and Lucas Rumple and Jenna Davis, and 18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Elaine Brown; three brothers, Charles, Robert and James Cooper; and two sisters, Mary Wright and Lucille Sprong.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren, IN.
A Funeral Service will be held, following calling hours on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren, IN with Rev. Gerald Moreland officiating.
Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion, IN.
