Mark A. Rigsby 62 of Marion, died Friday June 23, 2017 at his residence. Mark had worked at Active Products for 28 years and later at Dana Corporation for 10 years and then for Echlon Furniture Maker for a brief 4 years. He also was a flooring installer and was a 1973 graduate of Marion High School. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 10 Marion. Mark enjoyed being with his grandchildren, cooking, baking, playing golf and dancing. He had many friends and would light up a room when he entered. He was a mentor to Ayden Lloyd Vic.
Born January 1, 1955 he was the son of the late Paul and Betty (Atkins) Rigsby, his mother survives in Lake Placid, FL. He married Elaine Rigsby may the 15, 2005 at Marion, IN.
Survivors include Elaine, his mother, daughters; Lindsey Rigsby of Marion, Shelly Rigsby, North Carolina, Leslie (Armanda) Hernandez, Wabash, IN Step-sons: Matthew Eccles, Jonesboro, IN Mickey (Holli) Eccles, Fairmount, IN Sister; Tammy (Bob) Paulley, Marion, IN Brothers; Paul Michael (Donna) Rigsby, Houston, TX and Wade Rigsby, Lake Placid, FL Joe (Leslie) Rigsby, Warsaw, IN Mother-in-law; June Enyeart, Marion, IN Sister-in-laws; Lynn Nealy, and Lynnette Enyeart both of Marion, IN 12 Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews and special caregivers; Marcus Kramer and Emily and Mindy Schmerber.
The family would like to thank Family Care Hospice for the care that they gave to Mark and his family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday June 28, 2017 from 2-4 PM at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, College Park Chapel, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN with the funeral service at 4:00 PM with Pastor Phil Harris officiating. Cremation will follow after the service.
The family request memorial contribution to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
