Marjorie H. Brubaker, 93, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 4:49 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehab, Marion. She was born in Marion to the late John F. and Ethel (Salters) Shroll. She married Lloyd F. Brubaker in 1976, and he preceded her in death in 2009.

Marjorie was a Marion High School graduate. She worked at Indiana Bell for several years as a switchboard operator. She also worked at Marion General Hospital as a physical therapist, where she retired after 25 years.

Known as a big jokester, Marjorie loved to make people laugh. She was happy all the time. She loved to bake and make candy and was very involved with her church.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Jarod (Jeff Wood) Smith, Alexis (Aaron) Deweese, Jason (Julie) Moore, and James (Andrea) Moore; nieces, Cindy (Larry) Korporal and Kathy (Chuck) Richey; nephew, Richard (Dorine) Ward; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; children, David Lee Smith and Janice Lynn Smith; and 14 brothers and sisters.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor John Bunch officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
