Mariette E. Barker, 78, North Manchester, IN died at 9:05 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born December 28, 1938 in Alkmaar, The Netherlands to Herman & Eugine (VanBerkholm) Dirker. On December 31, 1977 she married Paul Barker. He died May 27, 1993. Mariette worked many years at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Pittsburgh, PA. She was a member of Wabash Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness. She is survived by sons, Dino Cardinalli, Pittsburgh, PA; Mario Cardinalli, Pittsburgh, PA and Benjamin (Heather) Barker, North Manchester, IN; Daughter, Claudine Wonders, Freeport, PA; brother, Hiddo Dirker, Sarasota, FL and seven grandchildren. Family and friends may call January 21, 2017 from noon-1:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 3741 W 100 S, Wabash, IN. Memorial service will be January 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 3741 W 100 S, Wabash, IN. Dave Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Convoy IOOF Cemetery, Convoy, OH at a later date.
