Marggie Fay Hubbard, 77, Marion, died at 8:50 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Colonial Oaks Health Care Center in Marion. She was born on August 18, 1940, in Morristown, Tennessee, to Doc and Molly (White) Shropshire.

On June 4, 1959, Marggie married Marion Hubbard, and they had two children, Mark and Melissa. The family moved to Marion in 1965 and later resided in Fairmount and Jonesboro. She worked and retired from Bradner Village Nursing Home, where she was a QMA.

“Nanny”, as she was lovingly known to her grandchildren, loved the Lord and was a fierce prayer warrior. She was the most loving, gentle, and beautiful soul there ever was and was so giving and forgiving. Nanny never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. If Nanny wasn’t in her curlers fixing her hair, she would be up cleaning or trying to fix something to eat for others. She liked to crochet and play games on her tablet, and she especially loved spending time with her boys, her great-grandsons.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa (Brian) Winslow; granddaughter, Samantha Hubbard; two great-grandsons, Johnathan Mark and Trentyn James; and two sisters, Linda (Cecil) Moneymaker, Knoxville, Tennessee, and Peggy (Bob) Turner, Baneberry, Tennessee.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 32 years, Marion; son, Mark; granddaughter, Amanda Marie Hubbard; daughter-in-law, Sandy Hubbard; and two sisters, Pauline and Dorothy.

The family will receive visitors from 2-6 p.m. with Marggie’s funeral service beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
