Lucille J. Embry, 88, Marion, died at 7:40 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Sycamore, Illinois, to the late Harold and Marion (Hindenberg) McNeely. She married Robert Lee Embry on November 20, 1947, and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2015.
Lucille retired from DANA after working 35 years in the accounting department. She enjoyed playing card games and going to DANA luncheons. Lucille loved to be with her grandchildren, watching the Pacers, and hosting parties and big dinners for her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Trudy A. Abbott, Marion, and Tresa S. (Steve) Bolin, Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Robert (Mary) Abbott, Lisa (Randy) Davis, Annie (Brandon) Downam, Kira Bolin, and Kyle Bolin; great-grandchildren, Ron Baker, Laci Baker, Sydney Abbott, Liberty Downam, Emily Downam, and Jillian Downam; great-great-grandchildren, Makalynn Wood, Keyan Baker, and Khloe Dunica; and brothers, Charles (Gene) McNeely and Floyd McNeely.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothia McCleese and Joyce Brown; son-in-law, Robert Abbott; and grandson, Matthew Neff.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN, with additional visitation from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at the funeral home with Rev. Colleen Harden officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
