Lucille D. Roberts, 93, of Marion, IN, formerly of Van Buren, IN, passed away at 6:30 PM on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Millers Merry Manor in Marion. She was born on Tuesday, December 19, 1922, in Pleasant Twp, Grant County, IN to Alfred & Sylvia Marie (Myers) Stevens. She married Alva Roberts on Sunday, June 30, 1940; he passed away in 1972. Lucille was a homemaker, who enjoyed helping her husband on their farm. She enjoyed being outside and tending to her large garden.
Survivors include: Brother-in-law – David Johnson, Marion, IN and several Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her : Mother – Sylvia Maria (Myers) Stevens, Father – Alfred Emanuel Stevens, Husband – Alva Roberts, Brothers – Kenneth Stevens, Myron Stevens, Sisters – Miriam Miller, Marcella Stevens and Lois Johnson.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home 201 N Main Street Van Buren on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Josh Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in the La Fontaine IOOF Cemetery in La Fontaine.
