Louise Brown, 97, of Peru passed away peacefully at 8:20am on March 1, 2017 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home.
She was born on March 9, 1919 in Story, Indiana to Frank S. and Mattie O. (Hamilton) Brown. She was a graduate of Peru High School in the class of 1937. She was employed as a domestic in the latter years of her life.
Louise is survived by her nieces: Divona Elzroth, Cleburne, TX; Judith (Phillip) Correll, Lake Placid, FL; Roberta (Don) Lee, Harlingen, TX; and Deborah (Lynn) Minco, Aledo, TX. Also, nephews: Nyles “Nick” (Nancy) Brown, Macy, IN; and Dale (Sandy) Thompson, Ellicott City, MD. Also surviving are several great-nieces and nephews, several great-great nieces and nephews, and several great-great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Marjorie Thompson, and a brother Eugene (Charlie) Brown.
Visitation will be held at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana from 1pm – 2pm on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Funeral service will follow at 2pm, with Pastor Phil Cruea officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County, Indiana.
