Louis L. “Lou” Chesterman

Louis L. “Lou” Chesterman, age 76, of Huntington, passed away Saturday July 1, 2017 at 5:23 am at Norwood Health and Rehabilitation, Huntington.  He graduated from Huntington North High School in 1959 and served in the US Army. Lou worked as a restaurant manager at for 32 years and retired from Dana Corporation.  He was a member of New Hope United Brethren Church.

 

Lou was born June 8, 1941, in Huntington, the son of Burton L. and Edna (Drabenstot) Chesterman.  On June 11, 1965, he married his beloved wife of 52 years Polly Snyder in Huntington and she survives in Huntington.  In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters Lisa (Brady) Pavey of Huntington and April (Keith) Nance of Bellefontaine, OH, a daughter-in-law Donna Chesterman of Huntington, 11 grandchildren Tasha Black, Curtis Morgan, Jerimiah Vanlandingham, Cody Chesterman, Saralee Ball, Jamie Nance, Anna Nance, Chrystal Pavey, Zach Pavey, Christopher Chesterman and Braxton Chesterman, and numerous great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons Chris Chesterman and Derek Chesterman.

 

A memorial service will be held Saturday July 8 at 11:00 am at New Hope United Brethren Church, Huntington.  Pastor Amos Rawley will officiate.
