Lois J. Shepherd, 77, North Manchester, Indiana passed away at 11:36 a.m. on May 24, 2016 at her residence. Lois was born on April 3, 1939 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Hartman and Edith (Hall) Yates. On May 27, 1958 Lois married R.D. Shepherd and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, Indiana. Lois loved to play bingo and loved going to church, but most of all she loved life. Lois is survived by her husband R.D. Shepherd; two sons Kenny (Joyce) Shepherd and Scott (Angie) Shepherd, both of North Manchester, Indiana; three daughters Tammy Walters, Becky (Tony) Niccum, and Sandy Blevins, all of North Manchester, Indiana; one brother Kenneth Yates, Illinois; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren. Lois is preceded in death by one grandchild and two brothers. Family and friends may call Friday, May 27, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Service will be Friday, May 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate.
