Lois Ann Dile, 82, Boiling Springs, SC, passed away at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, after a short illness. She has gone home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ. Lois was born in Roann, IN, to the late Elmer and Eva (Brodt) Logan. On December 24, 1951, she married Richard Dile, and he preceded her in death in March of 2005.

Lois worked at Owens-Illinois for a time before becoming a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables in both the spring and fall, and she took great pleasure when she read her Bible, novels, and dramas. Lois was actively involved in her two sons’ lives through sports, school activities, and many other hobbies. She cherished time spent with her immediate family, as well as with her sisters’ families on their farms. Her church family was very important to her as well, and she held her membership at Hope Church of Spartanburg, SC.

Loved ones Lois leaves behind are sons, Terry (Diane) Dile, Sr., Gas City, and David (Julie) Dile, Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Terry Dile, Jr., Amanda Dile, Alice (Charles) Ellis, and Ashley (Charles) White; step-grandchildren, Rodney Caldwell and Delia Caldwell; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Slagle, Hartford City.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lois is preceded in death by a son, Richard Allen Dile; two sisters; and three brothers.

Family and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Services to celebrate Lois’ life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Brent Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
