Linda L. Johnson, 72, of Huntington, IN, passed away on her father’s birthday, May 19, 2016, at 7:10 a.m. at Hickory Creek of Huntington, IN. Linda was born November 27, 1943 in Huntington, IN to Harold and Vera (Wyss) Johnson. Her mother survives and lives in Huntington, IN.
Miss Johnson worked at Pathfinders Shelter Workshop, Huntington, IN as an assembly worker for handicapped people. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.
Along with her mother she is survived by three sisters, Claire (Thomas) Aulbach, Hartford City, IN, Julia (James) Zorger, Murfreesboro, TN, Jackie Petcoff, Garrett, IN; 10 brothers, Dean (Roz) Johnson, Fairfax, VA.; Larry (Mandy) Johnson, Huntington, IN, Marvin (Lea) Johnson, Covington, IN, James (Paula) Johnson, Ft. Wayne, IN, Darrel (Christine) Johnson, Huntington, IN, Darwin (Carla) Johnson, Portland, IN, Charles (Melinda) Johnson, Jasper, IN, Mark (Karen) Johnson, Goshen, IN, Jeffrey (Annette) Johnson, Ft. Wayne, IN, Jerry (Denise) Johnson, Cicero, IN. Also surviving are 35 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Johnson.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at McElhaney – Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN. Recitation of the rosary will be held at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 840 Cherry St., Huntington, IN with Fr. Ron Rieder, OFM Cap presiding.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
