Linda L. Gearhart, 79 of Huntington passed away at 2:46 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Tipton Place. Linda had attended Huntington Township High School. She had worked for many years at Bob’s IGA in Huntington. Linda was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 255 and the Moose Thursday Girls Club. She loved to camp at Pic-a-Spot Campground, she and her family have camped there for over 42 years.
Linda was born on February 22, 1938 in Huntington, the daughter of Ralph and Inez (Hosier) Martin.
She was united in marriage to Everett Gearhart on October 15, 1954 in Huntington. Everett preceded her in death on May 15, 2005.
Survivors include three sons: Gary (Diane) Gearhart of Huntington; Steve (Pauline) Gearhart of Huntington; Tom (Sarah) Gearhart of Huntington; a daughter: Tosha (Patrick) McGlothin of Roanoke; a sister: Sandy Allen of Huntington; sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Tammy Gearhart and a grandson: Jason Allen Gearhart.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
